Centralloy® HT E
The coke formation in a typical Steam Cracker environment is an inevitable and complex phenomenon, due to the pyrolysis reaction, the hydrocarbon gets slowly deposit in the pipe walls, which reduces the effective transversal area for flow and furthermore, the pipe inner deposit, also reduce the heat transference capacity to the fluid. The furnace temperature must increase continuously to assure a constant mass flow through the pipes and an adequate heat transfer.
However, this problem can be minimized by choosing the adequate metallurgic pipes, as Centralloy® ET 45 Micro or Centralloy® HT E de Schmidt + Clemens (S+C). These alloys are the universally preferred choice, especially for “hot” departure passes. These alloys have the characteristic of producing a dense rust and “auto-healing” layer. This is especially efficient for limiting the coke formation and the subsequent carburation, increasing the furnace general performance and expanding the radiant coil’s lifespan.
Centralloy® HT E, is the special alloy from Schmidt + Clemens (S+C) to all cracking furnaces challenges.
